Jewellery Making Workshops FAQS
All workshops are suitable for complete beginners, I will take you through each step so no previous experience is necessary.
Please be aware that making jewellery can be tough on the hands and does require good eyesight. If this is something you are concerned about please do get in touch to discuss this.
My bookable courses are generally for over 18s only, though exceptions can sometimes be made for younger people with relevant experience and parental supervision.
I can teach younger people over age of 13 on private workshops. If you would like to bring a younger person please do get in touch. They will require an accompanying adult.
Due to the tools and processes involved, no alcohol is to be consumed before or during these sessions.
Refreshments including tea, coffee, water and biscuits will be provided.
If you would like to bring your own treats you are more than welcome!
Please wear comfortable and suitable clothing to work with tools in a workshop environment. Please avoid floaty or loose sleeves etc, and any long dangly jewellery or straps. Jewellery making can also be a bit messy so don’t wear your best outfit!
It can also get a little chilly in the studio as I open the windows for ventilation so please bring a jumper or similar.
Please wear closed toe shoes, it can be very painful dropping tools on toes in sandals! (trust me on that one).
For your safety, I ask you to please ensure that long hair is tied back.
Your glasses if you need them!
A hair tie if you have long hair.
It can also get a little chilly in the studio as I open the windows for ventilation so please bring a jumper or similar.
Any specific refreshments you may like.

Unfortunately there is no parking available by the studio.
There are multiple nearby car parks where you can park, for more info please see here.
Jewellery making does require the use of some chemicals that may be hazardous to health with prolonged or repeated exposure. The use of these is minimised in these workshops as much as possible (though there is some), and personal protective equipment is provided where necessary.
Some of the chemicals used in jewellery making include substances that may damage or do suspected damage to fertility or an unborn child. If you are pregnant, or planning a pregnancy please let me know before your workshop and I can discuss your options if you have any concerns.
