About course:
Bring your own piece of sea glass treasure, or choose from my stash and create a beautiful sea glass necklace!
During this course you will make one sea glass pendant, creating a bezel setting for your piece of glass to sit in using recycled sterling silver.
Using a range of traditional silversmithing techniques including piercing, filing, soldering and polishing, you will end this workshop with a beautiful sea glass pendant to wear with pride!
Details:
This workshop runs from 10 AM - 1PM (end time is approximate, there is a chance it may over run slightly).
There are 5 spaces available on this workshop.
Please note - a minimum attendance is required in order for this workshop to go ahead. If this is not met, I will offer you a refund or an alternative date.
For over 18s only (some exceptions can be made for younger people with relevant experience and parental supervision).
Please bring any sea glass you wish to use, if possible bring a selection and I will help advise which piece will work best! You are very welcome to choose a piece from my collection of sea glass if you would prefer.
Refreshments:
Due to the tools and processes involved, no alcohol is to be consumed before or during these sessions.
Refreshments including tea, coffee, water and biscuits will be provided. You are very welcome to bring your own snacks.
Is this workshop right for me?
This workshop is suitable for complete beginners, I will take you through each step so no previous experience is necessary.
Please be aware that making jewellery can be tough on the hands and does require good eyesight. If this is something you are concerned about please do get in touch to discuss this.
For your safety, I ask you to please ensure that long hair is tied back and that you wear suitable clothing including no floaty or loose sleeves etc and closed toe shoes. Jewellery making can also be a bit messy so don’t wear your best outfit!
It can also get a little chilly in the studio as I open the windows for ventilation so please bring a jumper or similar.

If you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy please let me know before your workshop and I can discuss your options if you have any concerns.
Price:
This workshop costs £85 per person.
All materials to create a sea glass pendant are included in price. This includes an 18" curb style chain, though there is also the option to choose an alternate length or style chain for an additional cost.
Cancellation Policy:
If you need to cancel your space on this workshop, please contact me at least 72 hours in advance to reschedule and not be charged.
